Cookie Policy
Effective date: August 7, 2026
We would like you to know more about our use of cookies. That is why this document was drafted. It explains what cookies are, how we use them, your choices regarding cookies, and where to find further information.
This Cookie Policy is part of our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, together with your consent comprising our agreement with you. You can contact us using the details below.

LearnIt does use cookies
LearnIt ("us," "we," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) on the learnit.training Website (the "Services"). By using the Services and choosing an option on our cookie banner, you make a choice about the use of cookies for the purposes described in this policy.
Cookies are…
Small files comprising bits of text that are sent to your browser by a website you visit. They enable our server to recognize your browser the next time you use the Services. We also use browser local storage in the same way for some of the same purposes.
Types of cookies and purposes LearnIt uses them for
LearnIt uses cookies and local storage for the following purposes:
| Category | Description |
|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Our Website cannot function properly without these. Our authentication provider, Supabase, sets a session cookie that keeps you signed in and secures your session; it does not itself store personally identifiable information beyond what's needed to recognize your session. We also use browser local storage (not a cookie, but a similar technology) to remember your cookie choice and, for Tutors, your selected timezone display. These are deleted when you sign out or clear your browser storage, and cannot be switched off through our cookie banner because the Services would not work without them. |
| Analytics | Our cookie banner lets you separately accept or decline analytics cookies. As of this writing, LearnIt does not have any analytics or error-monitoring tool connected — so this category exists in the banner for when we do add one, but accepting it currently has no effect. We will update this Policy, and gate the actual tool on your choice, before turning any analytics tool on. |
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. LearnIt does not run ads and does not sell or share your data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Third-party cookies
Some pages may load content from third parties, which can set their own cookies, governed by their own privacy policies:
- YouTube — if a Tutor has added a YouTube link as their introduction video, playing that embedded video on their profile may set cookies from that provider.
- Daily.co— our video-call provider. Joining a live lesson loads Daily.co's video interface, which may set cookies scoped to that session for the call to function.
These are conditional — they are only set if you actually play an embedded video or join a video lesson, not simply by browsing the Website.
Managing cookies
When you first visit the Website, a banner lets you choose "Accept all" or "Reject non-essential."Choosing "Reject non-essential" means only strictly necessary cookies are used; the Services continue to work normally either way, since we don't currently condition any feature on the analytics choice.
You can change your choice at any time using the "Your privacy choices" link in the site footer, which reopens the banner. Your web browser also allows you to control and delete cookies directly; note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from staying signed in.
